VocabSushi

Among all kinds of vocab online tools, I like VocabSushi best. VocabSushi is not only a useful tool for ESL students to examine their vocabulary, but also a manageable tool for ESL teachers to record student's progress, just like Reminder. Based on different grade levels, VocabSushi provides meaningful context to help learners comprehend and utilize new words. I think VocabSushi is more likely to be an assessment tool than a teaching tool. One of the most important points is the explanation of correct answer. Learners might lose interests after getting a "incorrect" feedback without any correct explanations. Though the correct answers will be displayed at the end of section, I believe it would be effective if answer shows after the selection. Learners may also take notes after making wrong choices. A notepad for wrong words is also a good strategy for learners to memorize and recycle new words.
